FAQ
Everything, answered
The short version: LeagueSeer is a poker HUD for your fantasy league. It learns how the specific people at your table draft and manage, then tells you what they'll do before they do it.
Getting started
What exactly is LeagueSeer?+
Rankings sites tell you who the best player is. LeagueSeer tells you what to do right now, in your league: who to draft before a specific rival takes him, who's safe to wait on, who to pick up off waivers before anyone notices, which trade your leaguemate would actually accept.
It can do that because it models the twelve real humans in your league from their actual history, not an average of strangers.
How do I connect my league?+
Type your Sleeper username. That's it. We pull every league and season tied to it in about a minute: drafts, rosters, matchups, trades, waivers. No password, ever, it's all read-only public data.
ESPN leagues import too. Public ESPN leagues need just the league id; private ones need two browser cookies (espn_s2 and SWID), which we encrypt at rest. One tip: opponent scouting is built from your league's past drafts, so a private league your group has run for seasons gets rich reads immediately, a brand-new public league has no history to read until its first draft is done.
Can I try it without connecting anything?+
Yes. The mock draft simulator runs without a league or an account: pick your team count, scoring, superflex and dynasty toggles, and draft against ADP-realistic bots with the full assistant running.
Which platforms and formats are supported?+
Sleeper is fully supported live. ESPN leagues get history imports, profiles, season tools, and a live-syncing draft room. Formats: superflex / 2QB, every PPR level, TE premium, keeper, dynasty, and any league size from 4 to 32 teams. Auction drafts get the board and value reads, without pick-order predictions (there is no pick order to predict).
Draft night
What does the draft HUD actually show me?+
For every player still on the board, live:
- Survival odds: the chance he's still there at your next pick.
- The threat: which manager is most likely to take him first, and why (“still filling RB starters”, “CIN homer, 6 career picks”).
- Market reads: how much of the market has already drafted him by this pick, tagged steal / value / reach.
- Recommendations: best picks for your build, who to draft now because he won't come back, and who's safe to wait on so you can spend the pick elsewhere.
- Roster moves: handcuff and stacking suggestions timed to when the target actually enters draftable range.
How does it know what my leaguemates will do?+
Every manager gets a behavioral profile built from their real past drafts, across all their leagues: when they take their first QB, how early they reach past market value, which NFL team they can't stop drafting, whether they chase rookies, whether they stack receivers with their QB, how they build rosters.
On draft night those profiles drive a per-pick prediction for every seat between you and your next turn.
What about keeper and dynasty leagues?+
Both are detected and labeled. Dynasty leagues get their own player board with the youth premium priced in (a 22-year-old outranks a 29-year-old star there). Keeper drafts are excluded from our market data entirely, kept players distort every pick around them, so they would poison the ADP for everyone else.
My draft is months away. Why connect now?+
Two reasons: mock drafts against your real league's bots are available immediately, and the more time the system has, the more of your league's history it studies before the night that counts.
Mock drafts
How do mock drafts work?+
The bots aren't random: each one runs a leaguemate's actual profile, so the guy who always reaches for RBs reaches in your mock too. Draft any slot, use auto-draft to speed through, and get a report card at the end grading both you and the model's own predictions.
Can I share a mock with my league?+
Yes. Every finished mock gets a share link. Anyone who opens it sees exactly what you saw: the full round-by-round board, your roster, and the report card. No account needed. Saved mocks under a league open the same full view.
During the season
What do I get after the draft?+
- Start / Sit: your optimal legal lineup each week with the exact swaps and the projected points gained, plus injury alerts.
- Waiver Wire: free agents ranked by opportunity, snap-share and target-share breakouts surface before the box score catches up, plus live trending adds and a suggested FAAB bid.
- Trade Center: auto-scanned win-win trades (you give from depth, get an upgrade where you're thin, at fair value), plus an analyzer for any deal you build.
- Clubhouse: power rankings, a luck index, weekly awards, and shareable receipts for the group chat.
- League Wrapped: the whole season in superlatives at year's end.
Where does the data come from, and how fresh is it?+
Projections are a blend of two independent sources, so no single provider's bad week skews your lineup. Market ADP blends the industry consensus with real Sleeper drafts we ingest continuously. Trending adds are live from across all of Sleeper. Everything refreshes daily on its own, plus on-demand whenever you open a draft room or mock.
The model
How does the prediction actually work?+
The shape of it, ingredients but not amounts: each manager's profile plus their current roster needs plus live market value produce a probability distribution over what they'll do at each upcoming pick. A player's survival to your pick is the compounded chance that every manager in between passes on him. That one quantity drives the survival percentage, the named threat, and the “gone by” estimate.
How do I know it's accurate?+
We backtest against real completed drafts and score with proper probabilistic metrics (Brier score, calibration curves): over 1,007,000 real picks replayed across 5,147 drafts, all from the last 30 days of live market behavior, with 274,615 predictions graded against what actually happened (the model names the exact next pick off a 45-player board 8.6x better than chance). Calibration against real drafts cut early-round survival error from roughly 13 points to about 1.5, and even the “% gone by now” stat is tuned against real drafts rather than trusting any provider's spread. Every mock ends with the model grading its own calls, in the open.
Does it get better over time?+
Yes, on two axes: it keeps ingesting real drafts all season (so the market reads sharpen), and every completed draft in your league deepens your rivals' profiles. The model that drafts with you next year knows more than the one from this year.
Privacy & pricing
Do you need my Sleeper password?+
No. Sleeper data is read through its public API, we couldn't touch your league if we wanted to. Private ESPN leagues need two cookies for read access; they're encrypted at rest and used only to import your league.
What's free, and what does the Season Pass add?+
Free is the full product for one league: the live draft HUD, unlimited mocks, waivers, start/sit, trades, and the whole social layer (Clubhouse, luck index, weekly awards, League Wrapped). Passes add more leagues: Starter covers 5 and includes a small preview of the AI features; Unlimited covers every league and adds the full AI, scouting reports on every rival and ask-the-league chat. You can also gift a pass, buying one generates a code a friend can redeem. Details on the pricing page.
